Delhi Murder Case: Forensic Science Student Kills Partner After Finding Obscene Videos of 15 Women

A shocking twist has emerged in one of Delhi’s most disturbing murder cases this year. Police say a 21-year-old forensic science student from Moradabad killed her 32-year-old partner, a UPSC aspirant, after discovering that he had secretly recorded intimate videos of her — and refused to delete them.

What began as a relationship built on trust reportedly turned into betrayal and rage, culminating in a meticulously planned killing. Investigators say the woman used her knowledge of forensic science and her obsession with crime shows to stage the murder as an accident and erase evidence.

According to police, the woman enlisted her ex-boyfriend, an LPG distributor, and another man to help her commit the crime. On the night of October 5, the trio went to the victim’s flat in north Delhi’s Gandhi Vihar, where they allegedly confronted him, assaulted him, and strangled him with a mobile charger wire.

To make the death appear accidental, they poured ghee and alcohol over the body, opened the gas regulator, and set the apartment on fire.

“They opened the gas regulator and ignited a lighter, creating the scene of an accidental fire. The cylinder was placed near the victim’s head. About an hour later, the fire spread and the cylinder exploded, completely burning the body,” a senior police officer said.

The next morning, the victim’s charred remains were found in his fourth-floor flat. Initially, police registered a case of negligent conduct with fire, but inconsistencies in the burn pattern — coupled with a complaint from the victim’s cousin — led investigators to suspect foul play.

CCTV footage showed two men and a woman entering the apartment before the blaze and the woman leaving soon after. Using phone tracking and surveillance, police traced the suspects to Moradabad, arresting the woman on October 18, her ex-boyfriend on October 21, and a third accomplice two days later.

Hard Disk Uncovers Disturbing Evidence

A breakthrough came when police recovered a hard disk from the flat containing obscene videos of more than 15 women.

“It appears the deceased had secretly recorded private videos of multiple women. His laptop has not been recovered yet, but the hard disk has been seized,” an investigating officer told Hindustan Times.

Forensic experts are now examining the contents to identify the women and determine whether the videos were consensually recorded. If not, officials say, new charges related to voyeurism and breach of privacy could be added.

Motive: Betrayal and Revenge

Investigators believe the woman was driven by humiliation and anger when her partner refused to delete her videos.

“She felt betrayed and violated. Her understanding of forensic science helped her plan the murder and make it look like an accident,” said a senior police officer.

The case continues to unfold as police piece together digital evidence and forensic findings that point to a chilling blend of intellect, revenge, and premeditation.
