Delhi’s air quality worsened sharply on Wednesday, with most monitoring stations across the national capital recording AQI (Air Quality Index) levels in the very poor to very poor categories, raising significant health concerns. Industrial and traffic-heavy zones were among the worst affected.

These readings approach the severe category, indicating that prolonged exposure could cause respiratory distress even in healthy individuals.
