Actors Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman will reveal the nominees for the 2026 Oscars on January 22 in a live presentation from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. The announcement, covering 24 categories including the new casting award, will begin at 5:30 a.m. PT and air live on ABC’s Good Morning America. It will also stream across the Oscars’ website, the Film Academy’s social platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), Hulu, Disney+, and ABC News Live.

Oscar nominations voting began Monday, January 12, and runs through Friday, January 16.

Brooks is a former Oscar nominee for her role in The Color Purple, while Pullman appeared in the Oscar-winning Top Gun: Maverick and currently stars alongside Amanda Seyfried in The Testament of Ann Lee, which has already received multiple awards-season nods.

The 98th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O’Brien, are scheduled to air live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 15, starting at 4 p.m. PT. O’Brien returns for his second Oscars, with Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan serving as executive producers for the third consecutive year, and Jeff Ross and Mike Sweeney returning as producers, with Sweeney also contributing as a writer.

The 2025 Oscars drew an average audience of 19.69 million viewers across ABC and Hulu, marking the ceremony’s largest audience in five years. Digital viewing on mobile devices and tablets contributed significantly to the increase, following the first-ever Oscars live stream on Hulu.

Last year’s big winners included Anora, which won Best Picture, Best Director (Sean Baker), and Best Actress (Mikey Madison), among five total awards. Adrien Brody won Best Actor (The Brutalist), Zoe Saldaña took Best Supporting Actress (Emilia Pérez), and Kieran Culkin earned Best Supporting Actor (A Real Pain).
