Businessman Robert Vadra, husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, has been served a court notice in connection with a money laundering case filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

On Friday, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court issued notices to Vadra and several others, including individuals and companies named in the ED’s charge sheet. The agency has formally charged three people and eight firms in the case.

The matter is set to be heard on August 28, during which the court will assess the evidence submitted by the ED at the pre-cognisance stage—a preliminary judicial process before formal trial proceedings can begin.

The upcoming hearing will determine whether the court finds sufficient grounds to take cognisance of the case and move forward with framing charges.
