Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Hiked by ₹49 From February 1
The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by ₹49 with effect from February 1, 2026, according to news agency ANI, as part of the monthly price revision on the day of the Union Budget presentation.
In Delhi, the retail price of a commercial LPG cylinder now stands at ₹1,740.50, up from ₹1,691.50 in January.
The hike is expected to impact restaurants, hotels, street food vendors and other commercial establishments that depend on LPG for daily operations.
However, the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged.
India imports more than 60 percent of its LPG requirements. For domestic consumers, the government continues to regulate prices to limit the impact of global fluctuations.
Commercial LPG prices are determined independently by oil marketing companies in line with guidelines from the petroleum ministry.
Public-sector firms such as Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Bharat Petroleum Corporation revise prices based on international market trends, exchange rates, freight costs, insurance and customs duties.
In the previous revision on January 1, 2026, the price in Delhi was raised by around ₹110 from December levels. Despite the latest hike, current rates remain lower than February last year, when a commercial cylinder cost ₹1,797.
