China’s military to hold live-fire exercises around Taiwan on Tuesday

China’s military will conduct live-fire exercises around Taiwan on Tuesday, state news agency Xinhua reported on Monday, releasing a graphic that demarcates five zones surrounding the island where sea and airspace restrictions will be imposed.

A spokesperson for China’s Eastern Theatre Command said the drills, named “Just Mission 2025,” will focus on testing naval and air force combat readiness, as well as the ability to control key ports and other strategic areas.
