Advance bookings for the war drama Border 2 are gathering strong momentum as the film gears up for its theatrical release.

The movie has opened in nearly 9,000 shows across India, with more screens being added every hour as demand continues to rise. With just two days left for release, Border 2 has already sold over one lakh tickets, outperforming recent releases such as Dhurandhar at the same stage.

Border 2 advance booking update
Advance booking for Border 2 began on Monday morning, and within a little over 48 hours, ticket sales crossed the one-lakh mark, according to trade sources. As per Sacnilk, the film has collected ₹3.43 crore in advance bookings for its opening day so far. With premium formats such as Dolby Cinema shows opening over the next two days, the figures are expected to rise sharply.

As of Wednesday morning, Border 2 was selling nearly 3,000 tickets per hour on BookMyShow, with the pace accelerating steadily as the release date approaches.

How Border 2 compares with recent releases
Two days ahead of release, Border 2 has already surpassed the opening-day advance booking numbers of Sunny Deol’s previous film Jaat, which had collected ₹2.4 crore in advance and went on to open at ₹9 crore net. At the same point, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar had registered ₹2.5 crore in advance bookings before opening at ₹28 crore net.

With Border 2 outpacing both films in advance sales, trade analysts see this as a strong indicator of an impressive opening at the box office.
