Benjamin Netanyahu Pauses Security Cabinet Meeting to Speak with PM Modi on Gaza Peace Plan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday spoke with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu to congratulate him on the progress made under US President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan.
The call came shortly after Modi’s conversation with Trump, during which he also lauded the initiative.
“Called my friend, Prime Minister Netanyahu, to congratulate him on the progress made under President Trump’s Gaza peace plan. We welcome the agreement on the release of hostages and enhanced humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza. Reaffirmed that terrorism in any form or manifestation is unacceptable anywhere in the world,” Modi wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
According to the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu paused a security cabinet meeting on the Gaza ceasefire and hostage-release deal to speak with Modi.
