Anti-ageing pills, skin glow tablets, and vitamin supplements were among the items recovered by Mumbai Police from actor-model Shefali Jariwala’s Andheri residence during a search following her sudden death on June 27.

Police sources said the 42-year-old was not taking these supplements under medical supervision, though her family maintained they had never caused her any health issues. The discovery was made while collecting the panchnama, a legal document detailing evidence at the scene.

Jariwala was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri on Friday night by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and others. She was declared dead on arrival. Initial reports speculated a cardiac arrest, but the exact cause remains unclear.

Doctors at RN Cooper Hospital, where her post-mortem is being conducted, suspect a sudden drop in blood pressure as a possible cause. According to Parag’s statement to the police, Shefali had been fasting for a Satyanarayan Pooja and had collapsed a day earlier after consuming food prepared the previous day.

Police have ruled out foul play and registered a case of Accidental Death (ADR). The final cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report is released.

Jariwala rose to fame with her appearance in the 2002 music video Kaanta Laga and later participated in reality shows like Bigg Boss and Nach Baliye, the latter alongside her husband. She was cremated at Oshiwara Crematorium on Saturday evening.
