Reports surrounding the health of megastar Amitabh Bachchan sparked concern among fans after claims surfaced that he had been hospitalised. However, subsequent reports suggested the actor had only undergone a routine medical check-up and had already returned home.
According to reports, Bachchan was said to have visited a hospital in Mumbai for stomach-related concerns, with claims also suggesting that his son Abhishek Bachchan had visited him during his stay. Later reports, however, stated that the visit was part of a regular health examination rather than an emergency admission.
Sources quoted in entertainment reports said Bachchan undergoes routine check-ups periodically and had returned home shortly afterward. The reports also said he had been seen resuming normal activities following the visit.
Amid speculation over his health, Bachchan shared a new post on his personal blog but did not directly address the reports. Instead, he posted a poem and ended the message with a note for fans: “Love, Prayers and more.”
The health buzz prompted concern among fans and well-wishers, many of whom took to social media seeking updates about the veteran actor.
On the work front, Bachchan is set to return as Ashwatthama in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the first film starred Prabhas and Deepika Padukone and emerged as a major box-office success.
He also has Section 84 in the pipeline, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and featuring Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles.
