Ahead of Putin’s Visit, Delhi on High Alert: SWAT Teams and Snipers Deployed Across Capital
Delhi has been placed under heightened security ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s arrival on Thursday evening for a two-day visit. During the trip, Putin will attend a private dinner hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence and participate in the 23rd India-Russia annual strategic summit.
Massive Security Deployment in the Capital
Authorities have activated a multi-layered security grid across the city, with SWAT teams, anti-terror units, snipers, and quick-reaction teams stationed at key points. Over 5,000 Delhi Police personnel will be on duty.
Senior police officials told PTI that every movement—from Putin’s landing to his departure—will be monitored closely.

Agenda for the Visit
