“Aesthetics of the New Era”: Spring RIGA FASHION WEEK Visual Identity Revealed

The Baltic Fashion Federation, organizers of RIGA FASHION WEEK, has unveiled the visual identity for the spring edition of the event, set to take place in mid-April. This season’s concept presents a collective image of a woman who seamlessly blends romanticism with strength, and tradition with avant-garde expression.

The styling has been crafted by leading Latvian stylist and art director Anatoly Ksenofontov, who described the vision as a reflection on the evolving nature of femininity. “The image was born from reflections on how the concept of femininity is transforming today. I was inspired by the aesthetics of the ‘new era’ — where couture tradition meets digital futurism, and classicism becomes the foundation for experimentation,” he said.

At the heart of the look is a voluminous white dress by Latvian designer Anna Gulbe, evoking a subtle bridal essence. While referencing purity and new beginnings, the 2026 interpretation redefines it as a blank canvas for self-expression rather than a symbol of naivety. Layered with a structured corset, the ensemble represents inner strength and control — not restriction, but discipline. The striking presence of model Alisa Ontensone further amplifies the contrasts within the visual narrative.

Photographer Polina Vijun, who created the campaign imagery, highlighted the significance of color in the composition. “The central element of the look is the Cloud Dancer shade, named Pantone’s Color of the Year 2026. The overall image reflects fashion’s continuity — existing both beyond time and firmly within the present. It evolves constantly yet remains recognizable: slightly careless, slightly daring, and ultimately free,” she noted.

The main partners of RIGA FASHION WEEK include the State Culture Capital Foundation and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia.
