Actor Aamir Khan and longtime partner Gauri Spratt tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai on July 5, surrounded by family members and close friends. A heartwarming video from the wedding has since gone viral, capturing several emotional moments from the couple’s special day.
One of the most talked-about clips shows Gauri introducing Aamir as her lawful husband, after which the actor affectionately kisses her hand. Earlier in the ceremony, Aamir is seen referring to Gauri as his lawful wife before leaning in for a kiss, though the video cuts away before the moment is completed.
Another image from the ceremony shows a jubilant Gauri raising her fist in celebration after the couple officially registered their marriage.
The wedding video also captures the newlyweds sharing their first dance as family and friends applaud and cheer them on. Aamir and Gauri embrace warmly, while the actor is also seen sharing light-hearted moments with guests.
Among those present were Aamir’s children—Junaid Khan, Ira Khan and Azad Rao Khan—as well as Gauri’s son, who joined the couple during the ceremony.
The video was first shared on Instagram by former India cricketer Irfan Pathan, who attended the wedding. Congratulating the couple, he wrote, “Dear Amir Bhai & Gauri, Heartiest congratulations on your wedding! Wishing you both a lifetime of love, happiness, laughter, and togetherness. May Allah bless your beautiful journey with endless joy and countless blessings. So happy for you both, congratulations once again!”
Aamir and Gauri have known each other for nearly 25 years after first meeting in Bengaluru. They later lost touch before reconnecting in 2023, after which their friendship blossomed into a relationship.
On his 60th birthday last year, Aamir publicly confirmed his relationship with Gauri. Last month, he announced that the couple would marry on July 5 in a private ceremony.
“Shaadi hai 5 July ko. Ghar pe hi kar rahe hain. Bahut hi choti shaadi hai. Bahut hi khaas din hai 5 tarikh hamare liye. Dono families hain aur kuch khaas dost hain,” he had said, adding that only close family members and a handful of friends would attend.
Around 150 guests were present at the wedding. Aamir was previously married to Reena Dutta and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao.
