BRICS Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack

The declaration also issued a strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms, describing terrorist acts as criminal and unjustifiable regardless of their motivation, location or perpetrators.

The grouping condemned the April 22, 2025, terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 people were killed and several others injured.

BRICS reaffirmed its commitment to combating terrorism, including the cross-border movement of terrorists, terrorism financing and safe havens. It also stressed that terrorism should not be associated with any religion, nationality, civilisation or ethnic group.

The declaration called for those involved in terrorist activities and their support networks to be held accountable and brought to justice in accordance with relevant national and international law.
