Trump Appoints Adam Telle as Acting Army Secretary After Dan Driscoll’s Departure

President Donald Trump on Thursday appointed Adam Telle as acting Army secretary following the resignation of Dan Driscoll, whose departure came amid reports of tensions with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Telle currently serves as the Army’s assistant secretary for civil works.

“He is a Great Patriot, who is respected by all,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social announcing the appointment.

Driscoll resigned earlier this week without publicly giving a reason for his decision to leave the Army’s top civilian post. His reported clashes with Hegseth have drawn widespread attention, while several of Driscoll’s allies within the Army were removed from their positions this year by the Pentagon chief.
