US President Donald Trump on Monday rejected Iran’s demand for compensation for damage caused by US and Israeli strikes during the war, saying Tehran should instead pay for the people killed and wounded in its attacks.

Iran has sought compensation from Washington for damage inflicted by US and Israeli strikes, making the issue one of several conditions Tehran has tied to any possible reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
