Aishwarya Rai stuns in ivory rose couture at Cannes 2026 as new photos go viral
Just when it seemed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had wrapped up her appearances at the Cannes Film Festival this year, a fresh set of photographs once again put the actor in the spotlight. New images shared widely by fan pages online captured her in an elaborate ivory couture ensemble adorned with rose-inspired detailing, adding another striking fashion moment to her Cannes 2026 journey.
The newly surfaced images quickly gained attention on social media and further fueled discussions around Aishwarya’s appearances throughout the festival, where her fashion choices remained closely followed.
In the latest photographs, Aishwarya is seen posing on a sunlit balcony wearing an ivory gown distinguished by its sculptural design. Dramatic oversized ruffles around the shoulders and flowing across the outfit resembled blooming roses, giving the look a distinctly theatrical and couture-inspired feel.
She styled the look with loose side-swept waves, smoky eye makeup and a nude lip shade, while the elegant European setting added a touch of classic Hollywood glamour that many fans associated with Cannes aesthetics.
Before these images emerged, Aishwarya had already made several appearances at Cannes 2026 in varied styles. For a festival interview, she chose a fitted nude-toned custom outfit by designer Fjolla Nila, styled by Mohit Rai, marking a shift towards a more streamlined and classic silhouette.
For the festival’s closing event, she appeared in a white pantsuit by designer Cheney Chan, featuring embellished lapels, tailored trousers with lace accents and a feathered cape. Earlier, she had begun her Cannes run in a sculpted blue mermaid-style gown by designer Amit Aggarwal, which also marked his Cannes debut.
She also attended the Lights on Women’s Worth event by L’Oréal Paris alongside Aaradhya Bachchan, who wore a ruby-red gown with a matching cape.
Her Cannes appearances came after online speculation over whether she would attend the festival at all. The discussion began when fans noticed that Aishwarya was absent from promotional displays at Hotel Martinez, where visuals featured ambassadors including Alia Bhatt, Viola Davis, Eva Longoria and Helen Mirren.
As speculation intensified online, L’Oréal later referred to Aishwarya as a “living legend,” reinforcing her long-standing association with Cannes, where she has remained one of the festival’s most recognisable faces for more than two decades.
