Aishwarya Rai heads to Cannes with daughter Aaradhya, sparks excitement among fans

After days of speculation over whether she would attend this year’s festival, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has put rumours to rest by heading to the French Riviera for the latest edition of the Cannes Film Festival.

The actor was photographed by paparazzi at Mumbai airport late on May 21 alongside her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan as the mother-daughter duo departed for Cannes.

For her airport appearance, Aishwarya stayed with one of her signature style choices — an all-black ensemble. According to fashion reports, she wore a blazer-and-trouser set by designer Dhruv Kapoor from his Fall/Winter 2026–27 collection.

The outfit featured a tailored black blazer detailed with black floral bead embroidery, structured shoulders and notch lapels, paired with matching trousers and a satin blouse underneath. She completed the look with accessories from Gucci, including the Diana bag and Signoria boots, while carrying a black coat from Lovebirds Studio. Celebrity stylist Mohit Rai reportedly styled the look.

Aishwarya’s annual Cannes appearance has long been a major talking point among Indian audiences, with fans eagerly waiting to see her red carpet fashion choices and designer collaborations.
