The 79th British Academy Film Awards delivered a glittering celebration of cinema on Sunday at London’s Royal Festival Hall, with One Battle After Another emerging as the night’s biggest winner.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s critically acclaimed drama led the ceremony, securing six major awards, including Best Film, Director, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing, and Supporting Actor for Sean Penn.

Close behind was Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler, which claimed three awards — Original Screenplay, Original Score, and Supporting Actress. Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein also impressed, sweeping several technical categories with three wins.

Hosted for the first time by Alan Cumming, the ceremony honored the most outstanding achievements in film over the past year, blending surprise victories with widely anticipated triumphs.
