The Kerala Story 2 Trailer: Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia and Aishwarya Ojha Portray a Grim Fight for Survival
Following the commercial success of The Kerala Story, producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah has unveiled the trailer for its sequel, positioning the film as another intense social drama.
The preview presents interconnected narratives involving three Hindu girls whose relationships lead to alleged coercion and religious conversion, setting the tone for a provocative storyline.
Trailer Overview
The trailer opens with a stark warning about India’s future, suggesting a dramatic socio-political transformation over the next 25 years. The narrative then shifts across multiple states, introducing separate but thematically linked stories.
In Rajasthan, a family is shown approaching authorities with a POCSO complaint, claiming their 16-year-old daughter was pressured into conversion. The focus then moves to Madhya Pradesh, where a young woman is portrayed entering a marriage under what the trailer frames as deceptive circumstances, later facing forced conversion.
The third narrative returns to Kerala, depicting a Hindu woman in a relationship with a Muslim partner. After she refuses to convert, the trailer suggests escalating tensions and alleged confinement. The sequences collectively highlight emotional distress, familial struggles, and legal battles, underscoring the film’s dramatic thrust.
Sharing the trailer online, the makers wrote:
“They targeted our daughters. They broke their trust. They stole their futures. This time, we do not stay silent. The story goes beyond. Is baar sahenge nahi… ladenge.”
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on 27 February 2026.
Audience Reactions
The trailer quickly drew strong reactions on social media. Many viewers described it as “hard-hitting” and “gripping,” with some praising the intensity of the storytelling. Others, however, expressed reservations, with critics labeling the project as divisive or politically charged.
