Corruption Case: Charges Framed Against Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav
A Delhi court has formally framed charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Lalu Prasad Yadav, including criminal conspiracy and cheating, in connection with the IRCTC hotel corruption case.
Special Judge Vishal Gogne stated that during his tenure as Railway Minister, Yadav influenced the tender process for two IRCTC-owned hotels, awarding them to Sujata Hotels. The judge also noted that Yadav ensured his co-accused, Vijay and Vinay Kochar, transferred undervalued land parcels to his wife Rabri Devi and son Tejashwi Yadav as part of the scheme.
Yadav has pleaded not guilty and requested that the trial proceed, following the reading of charges in court.
