Search Operation Launched in Samba District After Suspected Terrorist Sighting

Security forces launched a search operation along Dhar Road in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district on Wednesday, following reports from villagers who claimed to have seen two suspected terrorists, officials said.

According to the officials, the suspects were reportedly dressed in combat uniforms and were last seen near a school in the Nud village area during the intervening night. Villagers who noticed the movement promptly alerted the police.

In response, joint teams of the police and army cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation early Wednesday morning. As of now, no trace of the suspected individuals has been found, officials added.

The operation remains ongoing.
